Cabinet |
Description These charger cabinets are designed to accommodate a variety of plugtop and desktop chargers. Originally developed for the TETRA terminals used by the Emergency Services these cabinets also offer secure individual charging for many other applications. Devices such as pda’s, cameras, data scanners and the new generation of ultra compact computers can be charged in an individually assigned compartment.
A flush mounted 3 pin socket is fitted in each locker. This future proofs the cabinet and helps ensure it can be used to charge the widest variety of electronic devices. The single socket can be optionally substituted for a dual if required. Other electrical receptacles such as Shuko are also possible.
The cabinets are available in 7, 14, 21 and 28 locker formats. The modular design enables extra columns of 7 lockers to be added to an existing installation. The expansion capability allows a single power section to service up to 56 lockers.
An upgrade path is available for users of some TETRA devices. An electronics package can be retro-fitted to enable the cabinets to be transformed into the tetraNET product. This enables TETRA terminals to be remotely programmed and audited over your organisations WAN. This provides significant cost savings when compared to traditional techniques of fleet maintenance.
The charger cabinets are built with 18/20 gauge steel and finished in a tough epoxy polyester coating to ensure they stand up to the rigour of daily use. The individual lockers are hinged on the left hand. For ease of use these cabinets are designed to be wall mountable. The optional frames are ideal for use against partition walls. The frames support the weight and raise the cabinet 600mm off the ground. Electrically the cabinets operate from a single fused spur or MCB. For additional safety a residual current device (RCD) can be optionally built into the cabinet if it is not provided externally.
Every locker output is individually fused to ensure that users of other lockers are protected against unauthorised use of high power devices. 500 lock combinations are complemented with master keys to allow managerial access. Each and every cabinet is separately tested to ensure IEEE compliance.
