Our green range contains a variety of units that are designed to operate within power systems that are directly supplied from renewable sources. Solar, wind and hydroelectric systems are all provided for.
Solar systems are fed by photovoltaic arrays. The DC energy that is generated is often stored in lead acid batteries and then converted to AC by using a unit from our inverter range. It is important to regulate the charge against over voltage and temperature. Our range of solar charge controllers ensures that batteries are not damaged. They also control the energy taken from the batteries by the inverter. To avoid a damaging deep discharge the controller automatically disconnects the battery when a low limit is reached.
The wind and hydro charge controller can be used to feed 12, 24 & 48VDC battery strings. An electronic load with mains recycling that is used for sinking DC sources is also present in the green range.
