Powering the Future
15 Jun 2018

Team Bath Racing Electric have just kicked off their Formula Student season. We sponsored them with a 60V DC load to characterise their battery cells during pre‑season testing. A 500V load was also supplied to test the fully assembled pack. The team ranked as the top electric team in the UK last season.
Multi‑Channel Bidirectional PSUs
03 May 2018

The LAB‑MOBI range of bidirectional systems has been expanded, with new two and four channel models being released at a variety of power, voltage and current nominals up 1000A/1000V. Every channel of the bidirectional systems operate as either a programmable DC source or DC load.
ETPS Ltd at Southern Manufacturing
23 Jan 2018

Our technical team will be showcasing a selection of programmable power systems on stand N170 at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics. The event takes place from the 6th to the 8th of February at Five Farnborough and is the UK's largest regional manufacturing technology, electronics and subcontracting exhibition.
Autoranging Rental DC Sources
05 Jan 2018

We have now added several 15kW LAB‑AUTO DC power supplies to our rental fleet. Readily available is a 525V/94.5A model, as well as 2 x 1575V/31.5A models which can be operated in parallel up to 30kW. The PSU's autoranging output allow for many more voltage and current combinations at nominal power than a traditional DC source.
ETPS Ltd Christmas Closing Hours
18 Dec 2017

ETPS Ltd will close for Christmas on Friday 22nd December at 12:00 GMT. We re‑open on Tuesday 2nd January at 08:00. Email enquiries will still be monitored during this period.
Autoranging DC Power Supply
22 Nov 2017

The LAB‑AUTO features an autoranging DC output. This provides many more voltage/current combinations at nominal power when compared to a traditional DC source. Standard units are available up to 15.3kW, with the ability to operate up to 10 systems in parallel. Flight case integrations are possible on request.
Three Phase AC Voltage Sources
22 Sep 2017

A new range of programmable AC voltage sources have been released. The EAC‑TAVS provides a true sinewave three phase output. Each system is built in its own freestanding cabinet, with models available up to 500kVA. An RS‑232 and CAN interface are provided as standard, along with a TFT front panel screen.
ETPS at LCV 2017
18 Aug 2017

Our experts will be at the Low Carbon Vehicle Event on the 6th and 7th September. A wide selection of our programmable power supplies and test instruments will be on show at stand C3‑122 in Hall 3. The exhibition takes place at the Millbrook Proving Ground and is the UK's premier showcase for innovations in hybrid and electric vehicles.
5kHz Superimposed Harmonics
21 Jul 2017

The four quadrant EAC‑ACS‑4Q is now capable of superimposed harmonic and inter‑harmonic voltages up to 5kHz. This is ideal for simulating a high frequency ripple over a DC battery link, which often occurs in charger circuits containing both AC and DC components. Modules are available in 30kVA and 50kVA variants.
ETPS Powering Bath Zero Team
18 May 2017

We have provided the Bath Zero Emission Motorcycles Team with a special 800V LAB‑SMS battery charger with single phase input. While most commercially available single phase chargers only have outputs up to 3kW, the LAB‑SMS provides 5kW. The higher power reduces charge time to maximise pre‑race testing.
